The chairman of the House of Representatives committee on army, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas has commended the Nigerian army for the results they’ve achieved in the ongoing fight against banditry in the north-west region of the country.

Namdas who was at the Nigerian army Super Camp in Faskari, Katsina state on an oversight function said “So far, the army has recorded successes, however there is still a lot more to be done.”

In a post on his official Facebook page, Saturday, the lawmaker said more successes can be achieved when stakeholders joint hands and support the army in the fight.

“Today I visited Special Army Super Camp Faskari in Katsina State, established a month ago for the conduct of exercise SAHEL SANITY. It is aimed at containing insecurity in the North-Western part of the country.

“So far, the Army has recorded successes, however there is still a lot more to be done. The Army will require the cooperation of all the stakeholders, particularly traditional rulers, community leaders as well as the entire people in the are for the successful conduct of the exercise. May God help us.”
