The Adamawa state government has urged men and officer of the Nigerian air force in the front line fight against insurgency in the northeast to maintain the tempo and ensure the region and Nigeria is safe and free for all citizens.

Deputy governor, Crowther Seth who represented the governor at a lunch organized for front line officers of the Operation Lafiya Dole at the Flight Line of the 153 Base Services Group, Yola, said their effort is commendable.

Chief Seth while appreciating the air force for their continuous sacrifice and doggedly in providing air support to the ground troops in the northeast said they shouldn’t relent in the efforts and services to their fatherland.

While delivering his message, the deputy governor said “I bring you Sallah greetings on behalf of his Excellency, right honorable Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who is unavoidably absent because of other engagement. He asked to convey to happiness with the activities of the air force in maintaining peace in the northeast some and Adamawa in particular.

“He urges you to mentor the tempo you’ve adopted on fighting insurgency with a view to making the northeast and Nigeria free.”

The lunch was organized for officers who have been away from their families because of the continuous battle against insurgency in the northeast to mark the Eid-El Kabir Sallah celebration.
