The Adamawa state Police Command Command it has in its custody the alleged mastermind of the clashes in Guyuk and Lamurde local governments areas which claims many lives and property.

The command in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Suleiman Nguroje said the mastermind, Halilu Lafiya and 15 others connected to the incessant clashes have been arrested and are undergoing investigation.

The police said 2 guns and other dangerous weapons have been recovered from Halilu.

The command calls on members of the general public particularly those in Guyuk and Lafiya Communities to remain calm and continue to give useful information to police as it assures all of its ‘ commitment to protecting lives and properties of all citizens.
