The Acting secretary of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State and State Coordinator RIFAN, Honourable Wafari Theman has distributed tricycles to disabled persons in Jimeta. The event took place Saturday, at the Secretariat of the National Association of persons with physical disability.

The state chairman of the association, Comrade Abdullahi Toungo, stated that the last time they recieved any intervention was when former Governor Nyako donated tricicles to them, he described Wafari as God sent and a true philanthropist for this timely intervention.

The National president of the National Association of persons with physicàl disability (NAPWPD) Comrade Rilwan Muhammed siad their Joy is full and overflowing because of the care and love shown them by Wafari Theman.

He used the opportunity to appreciate the philanthropic disposition of Wafari. “The national body of the association appreciates you because you have provided mobility to our members, they will now have the ability to attend schools, market, places of worship and to live a happy life”.

Comrade Rilwan, said God has used Wafari to wipe away their tears and they in return will ceaselessly pray for Wafari and support him in his political and other adventures of life.

He thanked the All Progressives Congress for giving them official offices in ward, local government and State executives of the party.

In his Goodwill message, the former Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly and member representing Yola South constituency in the State House of Assembly, Kabiru Mijinyawa, said the gesture by Wafari should not be seen as political, but a philanthropic gesture to sincerely help amiliorate their suffering.

Kabiru thanked the National chairman for attending the ceremony, he also cesaed the opportunity to thank Wafari for transparently distributing farm implements to poor farmers under his leadership as RIFAN coordinator.

Muhammed Bello, the State APC leader of persons living with disabaility thanked Wafari for having a good heart and for helping to wipe away their tears.

He called on persons Living with disabaility to become industrious and be productive.

Hajiya Hafsat, of the British council in Adamawa State, thanked Wafari for identifying with the disabled in the State, saying Wafari is addressing the most challenging need of the members of the association which is mobility. She further requested that a vehicle be provided for them to ease movement to venues of workshop, trainings and other engagements.

In his speech, Wafari Theman said they are not disabled but only physically challenged, tasking them to use their mental ability and giftings for a better life and benefit of the society.
WAFARI siad their request for a vehicle will be granted soon.

He stressed his readiness to always identify with them and to do his best in ensuring their needs are met and they are positioned to be productive in their lives by patronizing items produced from their workshop.

The state patron of persons Living with disabaility, Alhaji Gambo Nakura thanked Wafari for the philnathropic gesture and love for the physicàlly challenged. He prayed  for God’s blessings and good health.

Nakura also called on the Government to establish a commission for the disabled as passed by the state house of Assembly. He encouraged Wafari to continue the transparent process of distribution of farm implements to farmers in the State.

In appreciation, the national president of the association presented a plaque of appreciation to Wafari Theman, for associating himself with the less privileged in the society
