Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, a member of the House of Representatives has congratulate Ladi Bala on her election as the national president of the Nigerian Association of Women Journalists (NOWOJ).

Namdas who expressed his joy over her victory at the election held at Minna, Niger state, said it is a well deserved victory and should be celebrated.

He described Ladi as a hard working and dedicated broadcast journalist who is passionate about the plight of women in the profession.

” I’m very glad to hear that Ladi has emerged victorious at the just concluded NAWOJ election in Minna. I had no doubt in my mind that she will win and that is why we supported her the best way we could,” the lawmaker said.

He further stressed that he is confident that NAWOJ will benefit from Ladi’s wealth of experience and dedication to work and service.

” NAWOJ is lucky to have Ladi as its national president. Her wealth of experience and commitment to defending women and promoting the ideals of equality in the profession will come in handy I believe.

” I urged her to carry everybody along in the discharge of her duties and be the innovative and hard working person that she is, and I’m confident that she will succeed,” he added.

Ladi Bala who is from Adamawa state and works with the Nigeria Television Authority pulled 439 votes to beat other contestants to the exalted position of the president of NAWOJ at an election held in Minna, Niger state.

She was the National Secretary General of the association before the election.
