Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas has again facilitated the award of contract for the construction of a block of three classrooms each for Koma ward in Jada local government and Binyeri ward in Mayo Belwa local government areas of his constituency.

The N30m contract awarded to Messrs Metric Info Nig. Ltd under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) includes building and furnishing of the classrooms.

The recent construction if completed will add to the eight (8) schools fully renovated, furnished with some equipped with teaching and science equipments by the federal lawmaker who is arguably representing the largest constituency in the country. The schools includes GSS Tola in Mayo-Belwa, Bello Ma’aji school in Jada, Santasa primary school, Ganye, Danaba primary school, Jada, Chukkol primary school, Mayo-Belwa, Gangtiyabumso primary school, Ganye, Gangniksa primary school, Jada and Ganye 4 primary school.

The lawmaker who is the chairman of the House committee on army has also donated mattresses at GSS Jada, 100 tablets at Yelwa Secondary school. He has also donated chairs to GSS Toungo, GSS Mayo-Belwa and other schools in his constituency.

Hon. Namdas in an interview during the commissioning of one of such projects described the gesture as giving back to the system that made him.

” I am a product of education without which I wouldn’t have been where I am today. So it is only natural for me to look back and make efforts to assist the system.

” I have always been passionate about the education of our children and that is why my first project as a member of the House of Representatives in 2015 was the renovation and furnishing of the then dilapidated classrooms in GSS Tola in Mayo-Belwa local government and Bello Ma’aji primary school in Jada local government area. Since then, I have renovated and furnished many schools in all the local governments I am representing. This is to ensure that the little children not only benefit from the dividend of democracy but have a conducive learning environment which I believe will help in sharpening them to become great leaders of tomorrow,”

Namdas said.

Just recently, Hon. Namdas who has been tagged as the best performing federal lawmaker from Adamawa state by political pundits has embark on the construction of 12 handheld boreholes in the four local governments of Ganye, Jada, Toungo and Mayo-Belwa, with each local local government having three of such boreholes. He has also facilitated the construction of two motorised boreholes with overhead tanks at Gamu ward of Ganye local government and Metani ward of Toungo local government areas respectively.

The construction of N87.3m level 2 Primary Health Care Centre in Bajama area of Mayo-Belwa local government which was also facilitated by the lawmaker is in progress and will soon be completed. The health care centre will be fully equipment with state of the art medical equipment, solar panels and a motorised borehole.

Namdas has also recently facilitated the construction of a two-bedroom apartment at the doctors quarters of the General hospital Jada to accommodate consultants and visiting doctors so as to enhance effective and quality health care delivery to the people of his constituency. The construction has reached about 70% completion and will soon be commissioned.
