The former permanent secretary, Nigerian Ministry for Defence, and the Chairman, Adamawa Transition Committee 2019, Alhaji Ismaila Numan, heartily appreciates the Governor of Adamawa state, His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his excellency, the former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar- Waziri of Adamawa, the chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, Gen. Monguno, among other notable national and international personalities, who either came in person or sent-in their heartfelt condolences to our entire family during the sad moment of the loss of our beloved brother, Alhaji Buba Ahmed, who passed on at the aged of 76.

Alhaji Aliyu Ismaila Numan, who in a statement, notes the humanity of the Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who in person with his cabinet, paid a condolence visit to the Isma’ila family at their family home at Numan on Thursday 22nd July 2021.

According to the statement, Gov Fintiri who condoled with the Turaki Batta, Aliyu Ismaila over the demise of their older brother, Alhaji Buba Ahmed, said, “Buba Ahmed was a man of rare quality who through his good virtues touched lives, and thereby left a towering legacy and a void that would be difficult to fill.”

The state reads, “The former Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence and the recent Chairman, Adamawa State Transition Committee 2019 and his brother, are glad to welcome and receive Gov. Fintiri and who is the Fresh Air Governor, the Project Master, and flyover meastro, who is tranforming and taking Adamawa to a new height.”

The state adds that, “I and our entire family wishes to express our gratitude to the Governor, his family, the Adamawa state Government, the good people of Adamawa State and Nigerians, for their overwhelming show of love and kindness during our family’s time of grief.

“Governor Fintiri’s courtesy is the kind that establishes the perennial relationship of the family pedagogy development, trade, peace, and prosperity of the Numan Federation and indeed all Nigerians.”

Aliyu Isma’ila said, “On behalf of myself and the family, we wish to register our profound gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, Executive Governor Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for commiserating with me and my family during the death of my beloved brother, late Alhaji Buba Ahmed.

“We remain grateful to the Governor for identifying with us during his illness and for his gracious words in our moment of grief after his death.

“May the Almighty Allah reward you abundantly Sir and May the Almighty Allah equally reward the numerous high profile sympathizers from within and outside Adamawa State, who took time out of their busy schedules, to condole with us.”

The family notes that the Governor at his visit said, “The late Alhaji Buba has left a big vacuum that would be difficult to fill as a result of the many impacts he has had in the lives of many.”

Adding that, “He was an upright man who has the fear of the Almighty Allah and fairness in doing the right thing, hence his memory, commitment, and contribution to his community will never be forgotten, Late Buba will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched in many ways.”

Late Alhaji Buba Ahmed, was respected for his forthrightness and fearlessness in telling the truth.
