The chaplain, Adamawa state Government House Chapel, Yola, Venerable Yunusa Habila Tula has expressed shock over the sudden death of late ambassador Wilberforce Juta, a former governor of defunct Gongola state and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Government House chapel, Yola.

Late Juta died in the early hours of Saturday the 15th of August, 2020 after a brief illness.

Venerable Habila described the late Juta as a selfless leader and an elder statesman of reputable character worth emulating.

” The entire government house chapel has lost a great pillar. Baba Juta was not just a member but the chairman of the Board of Trustee of the chapel. His death is still a shock to us all.

” He lived a fulfilled and exemplary life we should all learn from. Despite his age, baba was never late for any church activity and that is one character that is outstanding, ” he said.

Venerable Habila further described late ambassador Juta as a man who always stands for the truth and promotes peace and unity in all his affairs.

” His death is a great loss for us in the government house chapel, the entire state, and Nigeria as a whole.

” I therefore on behalf of the entire chapel commiserate with his family, Adamawa state government and the entire state, and pray God to grant him eternal rest, ” the clergy said.

Late Wilberforce Juta was Governor of defunct Gongola State, 1983 during the Nigerian Second Republic, a founding member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), and former Nigerian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe.
