Women for Namdas, a political group set up to mobilize support for the candidature of Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, a governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has set up its mobilization team to kick start awareness campaigns across Adamawa state.
The group consists of women who have made their mark in politics from the 21 local governments of Adamawa state.
Convener and state coordinator of the group, Hon. Halima Hayatu, a former commissioner in the state urged the women to give their unflinching support for Namdas adding that a vote for him, is a vote for the progress of the womenfolk.
Hayatu made this known while addressing the group during a meeting with the governorship aspirant, Hon. Namdas in Yola recently.
She noted that as the coordinator of women in the campaign directorate, she has carefully chosen hard-working and reliable women who will assist in going into every nook and cranny of the state to sell the ambition of Namdas.
“We are serious and working hard to ensure that Hon. Namdas is nominated as the candidate that will fly our great party’s flag in the 2023 governorship election in Adamawa state.
“We have since set up our machinery which has local government coordinators and their assistants and also advisers in all the local governments. We are women of integrity with a wealth of experience in politics. We have resolved to use these qualities and experiences to woo women and even men to support the Namdas movement. That we will continue to do until the APC governorship ticket for Adamawa state becomes our,” Hayatu said.
She told Namdas that with the caliber of women in the group, and the assurances they gave her, the ambition of Namdas has already been sealed and delivered.
Other women who poured encomiums on the gubernatorial hopeful, unanimously agreed to the fact that Namdas has the pedigree, integrity, experience, expo, sure, and the exuberance needed to hold the office and deliver the goods effectively.
While appreciating the women, Hon. Abdurrazak Namdas assured them that he will give them the necessary support to carry out their duties effectively. He urged them to en ark on a house-to-house mobilization campaign to ensure that all nooks and crannies of their respective communities know about the Namdas movement.
Namdas noted that he is fully prepared to take the onerous challenges of the office of the governor of Adamawa State adding that in due course he will avail the people with his campaign manifesto.
