The Adamawa State Acting Secretary of the All Progressives Congress and State Coordinator of the RIFAN – CBN Special Project, Pharmacist Wafarninyi Theman Dalatu has been appointed Gamji Cika Soro Adamawa  by Mallam Ahmed Muhammed Mustapha, Cika Soro Adamawa
and Hakimin Yola.

Like the symbolic Gamji tree, huge, strong and towering about 60 feet, providing shade and having medicinal value. Wafari is all this and more to the people of Adamawa State.

Gamji is also the nickname of one of the Northern founding fathers, Sir Ahmadu Bello. Wafari serves as a pillar to a re-galvanized Adamawa State with a vision likened to that of our heroes past.

In a letter delivered to Wafari, through the secretary and other emissaries of the Cika Soro Adamawa, Wafari was described as a promoter of peace and unity among Adamawa people, he was also appreciated for his dedication, commitment and focus to the growth and success of Agribusiness among Adamawa State farmers who form the majority among the people of the State.

He described the recent upsurge in farmland cultivation in Yola and across several other  communities in the state as the result of a purposeful leadership by Wafari while fairly and transparently distributing farm implements and seedlings to farmers across the state.

The Cika Soro also called on Wafari to take advantage of the traditional title confered on him to do more for the people and ensure positive impact especially in the area of poverty reduction and improving the Agricultural value chain.

By this appointment, Wafari is now a member of council of the Cika Soro Adamawa.

Responding, Wafari thanked the Cika Soro Adamawa for the rare honour accorded him, and promised to live up to the high standard expected of the title holder of Gamji Cika Soro Adamawa.

Earlier in the year, Wafari was honoured with the traditional title of Peace Ambassador of Yandang nation by His Royal Highness Kpan Sanwi, Rev Haniel Hinleweni Banti .

This latest appointment is coming after the coalition of farmers in Yola South honoured Wafari in an award ceremony for uniting farmers and ensuring that RIFAN intervention is accessed by real and practicing farmers in the state.

This is sequel to an earlier award by the Coalition of  Numan federation Youths in April, where the Hama Bata extolled Wafari’s leadership qualities, thanking him for his result oriented leadership and for winning the heart of the youths to engage in Agriculture as well as exploit the values in the Agric value chain.
