The Nigerian Union of Journalists Adamawa state chapter has directed its members to mobilize and fully participate in the nationwide strike scheduled to start from Monday the 25th of September, 2020.

A statement signed the council’s secretary Fidelis Joctan and made available to newsmen in Yola reads “In compliance with the directive by the National Secretariat of our great union dated 25th September 2020 on the nationwide strike action commencing from Monday 28th September 2020, the Adamawa State council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is hereby calling all it’s members to mobilize and take action to that effect.

” Any Journalist covering the impending strike should please notify the state council for onward communication to the leadership of Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC)in the state.

“All Chapels leadership should take note and act accordingly.
Any further decision from our National Secretariat will equally be communicated please.”
