A former governor of the deduct Gongola state, Ambassador Wilberforce Juta is dead.

Late Juta died in the early hours of Saturday, the 15th of July, in Yola, after a brief illness.

An anonymous family relative confirmed this to News Line in a telephone chat on Saturday.

Late Wilberforce Juta was Governor of defunct Gongola State, 1983 during the Nigerian Second Republic, and later was appointed Nigerian High Commissioner to Zimbabwe.

He was also the chairman of the Bord of Trustee of the Adamawa state government House Chapel, Yola.
