With a heart full of gratitude and love, I wish to convey this message of appreciation on behalf of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation to everyone that participated and contributed in the just concluded 2021 Nigeria Volleyball League season.
The Super cup was the climax of the season, and it’s success couldn’t have been achieved without the participation and contribution of the clubs and associations, as well as administrators and representatives of various constituencies in the board.
Our collective efforts will never be in vain. Gradually the game is moving, for the past 5 years we have recorded many strides, but one of the most important achievement which we sustain remains the league that is still growing from one level to the other.
We thank you, for your patience, and determination, despite the absence of  Corporate sponsors that could have made the league more elaborate and rewarding.
We are aware of your sacrifices, and we will compliment it with more effort to secure a Sponsorship deal sooner than expected.
Many plans and deliberations are going on, with the hope that a lucrative deal will soon be sign. We will not wait but continue on the course of progress.
In a few days from now, the Division 2 maiden edition will take off in Jalingo Taraba State.
This will be followed by the Division 1 and Premier in various locations across the country.
The league system is expanded to provide opportunity to different degrees of players to play and enjoy the game and also to develop their skills for further exploits and national service.
We look forward for a better and more rewarding 2022 league season, and pray that the end of the season will be Celebrated in success and peace.
Together we can do greater things for Volleyball in Nigeria and this can be achieved from the lowest level, which includes youths development, Community participation, and the engagement of groups and individuals that are determined to see the empowerment of Nigerian youth through sport.
One of the greatest challenge before us is the nomination to host the Zone 3 African Youths Games qualifiers here in Nigeria in the month of May.
We call on all hands to be on deck for a successful qualification for male U-19 and female U-18, which are prerequisites to participate in the African Youths games coming up in the city of Cairo, Egypt, later in the year.
it is worth mentioning here that Nigeria boys are the defending champions of the 2018 edition of the African Youths Games, and we have the mandate the defend the title.
God bless you all in your individual capacity. God bless Nigeria Volleyball Federation.

Musa Nimrod is the President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF)
