The Nigerian Police, Adamawa state command, Saturday, says it has arrested four suspected kidnappers and recovered two locally made guns and cartridges.
This is coming few hours after the state chairman of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employee (NULGE), Hammanjumba Gatugel was kidnapped at his Mayo-Belwa residence.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Suleiman Nguroje in a press statement made available to newsmen said the suspects confessed to being among those terrorising Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye and Toungo local government areas. He further states that two locally fabricated single barrel guns, 20 cartridges, fake military uniforms, Charms among others were recovered from the suspects.

Though the kidnapped NULGE chairman is yet to be released, the police said that the suspects are cooperating with useful information, while assuring that they will do everything within their capacity to ensure he is returned safely.
