…Recovers One Toyota Corolla vehicle , Armoured cables, others

Adamawa state police command said its officers attached to Yola division has arrested 62-years old Idi Wakil and Babangida Bello, 54, for vandalising electric cables and installations belonging to the Yola Electricity Distribution Company, YEDC.

The suspects, all residents of Madumari ward,Yola South local government, have been vandalising, stealing and selling out the armored electricity cables that connects Njoboliyo and other villages from Yola , thus resulting to power outage in those areas , causing lost to Yola Electricity Distribution company(YEDC).

The Commissioner of police Aliyu Adamu Alhaji, Commended Officers and Men of Yola Division and Members of the Community for making it difficult for criminals of such to escape arrest.

Investigation further revealed that, the suspects are Auxiliary staff of YEDC and have been committing similar offences since 2018.

The CP has directed that the suspects be arraigned in court upon completion of investigation and calls on the Management of YEDC to report to Yola Divisional Police Headquarters and claim the recovered stolen cables .
