Following the recent attacks on Bolki and Gon communities of Numan local government area, senator Binos Dauda Yaroe visited the affected communities to commiserate with the people and have a first-hand look at the level of damage caused by the attackers.

The senator who is representing Adamawa southern senatorial zone alongside his entourage accompanied by leaders of the two communities, transverse all the affected areas and reassure the people that he will in his capacity ensure that the federal government finds a lasting solution to the perennial attacks.

Binos said “my visit is not to repay you of what you have lost, but to show you love and commiserate with you. It is my duty as your representative at the senate to take this matter seriously and ensure that lasting solutions are made to bring an end to these incessant attacks.
“It is because of your support that we are representing you at the national assembly, for that it is my duty to ensure that this matter is again tabled on the floor of the senate.”

The senator donated bags of rice and cash to the affected communities to help cushion the effect of the attack and the hardship those affected may be going through.

” Recall that I have presented similar incident on the floor of the Senate recently, and the senate had directed the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Northeast Development Commission (NEDC) to provide relief materials to the affected communities. The senate had also in its resolution directed the Chief of Army Staff and the brigade commander of the 23 armored brigade Yola to provide more security and check the activities of bandits in border communities with a view to curtailing such clashes and attacks, ” he said.

While responding, the leadership of the two communities appreciates the Senator for the visit and the support rendered to them in their trying moments.
