A northern group, The Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum, has back the agitation that, for the sake of unity, fairness and justice, The Presidency should rotate back to Southern Nigeria in 2023.

As such, the Forum at it gathering in Sokoto, endorsed Dr. Godwin Emefiele, being a great manager of our economy, private sector player that always believe in goal getting, transparent, honest and detribalized Nigeria, a Southerner that invested so much to the economic diversification, where Agriculture is on fastest way of growth as the ideal successor to President Mohammadu Buhari.

Dr. Khalifa Mohammed, Sokoto State Coordinator, Unified Northern Nigeria Youth Forum for Emefiele 2023, catalogued tremendous benefits that accrued to youth and women of Sokoto state under the stewardship of Dr. Godwin Emefiele as the Governor of CBN, thus.

“In 2016, Sokoto State accessed N220 billion Commercial Agriculture Credit Scheme, CACS, from CBN, while in partnership with Sokoto State Government disbursed one billion naira to Wheat famers in Sokoto in 2017 Farming Season

“50,000 rice farmers benefited from RIFAN/CBN Anchor-Borrower Programme in the state and, thousands of Sokoto Youth and Small businesses owners benefited from the COVID-19 Loan initiatives of the CBN Governor.

“These are only few among many life savings interventions policies design by Dr. Emefiele. We are certained that, given the opportunity to be the President, Nigeria will surely reach its economic prosperity. We therefore make a clarion call on Dr. Godwin Emefiele to as matter of urgency declare for President.”

Dr. Khalifa warned that, in the event Dr. Godwin Emefiele didn’t declare for President, the Forum will mobilize it members to Abuja and observe sit-in protest at Unity Fountain, “until he talk to us, as Nigerians need him as President than any other office.”
