Hostilities continue as the National U-12, U-15 boys and girls handball championship enters Day Two.

Sokoto U-12 boys massacred their Kano counterpart 43-18 goals in the opening encounter, Kaduna defeated FCT 31-26 while Zamfara, in a low score encounter defeated Suleja Handball Academy 16-9.

In the U-15 girls category matches decided in the afternoon, Abia and Sokoto girls recorded massive wins against their opponents. Abia outplayed FCT 30-19, while Sokoto girls whitewashed their Kaduna counterpart 29-8, in a one-sided game.

Gboko Dream U-15 girls stunned spectators with a superlative performance, scoring 24 goals without conceeding any from their Plateau state opponent, as Suleja Handball Academy draw the curtain on Day One fixtures, with a 10-6 victory over Kebbi.

Twenty six teams from thirteen states, including two handball academies are featuring in the youth championship organised by the Handball Federation of Nigeria and bankrolled by the Sokoto state government.
