There was outpour of tributes and accolades in Mayo Belwa local government area of Adamawa State as the member representing Ganye, Jada, Mayo Belwa and Toungo federal constituency, Abdulrazak Namdas distributed five Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to district heads of Mayo Belwa.

Thursday’s exercise was an off-shoot of a similar activity which took place two weeks ago in Ganye Chiefdom were all the 18 district heads each got a unit of the SUV.

Acknowledging the gesture, the Lamido of Adamawa, HRH Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha thanked Namdas for the show of solidarity and goodwill to the traditional institution.

Lamido of Adamawa who was represented by the Galadima of Adamawa, Mustapha Aminu, also acknowledged the contributions of Namdas in the field of education through scholarships, job creation, and the olive branch he extends to the poor and orphans in his constituency.

He noted that the gesture will go a long way in aiding the district heads to carryout their duties especially addressing insecurity and enhancing unity among the diverse people effectively.

Also pouring accolades on Namdas, Adamawa APC women leader, Hawwa Koma said, Namdas has set a record in good governance that will be difficult to break.

She noted that in the history of the area, no elected representative has brought immense dividends of democracy to the people like Namdas.

Koma noted that the gesture shows that Namdas has a lot of concern to the challenges being faced by the traditional institution and by extension the generality of the masses because the work of the district heads directly affect the masses especially in the area of security and unity.

She noted that the distribution of the vehicles marked the first time such gesture is extended to the traditional institution even as she acknowledged that Namdas has done equally well in other areas including empowerment, provision of infrastructure and providing employment opportunities.

An elder of the area and former federal legislator, Ahmed Wangubi Fons noted with esctasy how Namdas is changing the narrative of represention by setting a new standard.

He equally thanked him for the car gifts noting that as a grassroot politician, he knows the impact such gesture will make in the life of the district heads.

Also speaking, the Director General of Namdas campaign organization, Abdurrahman Shuaibu who said the gesture is a show of Namdas spiritedness, and solidarity to the traditional institution said, the gesture is just a tip of the iceberg.

He said the quantum of developmental strides brought by Namdas eloquently qualify him to rule the state adding that he is going to replicate what he has done to his constituency in manifolds when given the governorship mandate.

He urged APC members in the state to trust Namdas with their mandate as he is the one who will collect power from governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri without much qualms.

Also speaking, the APC chairman of Mayo Belwa local government, Babangida Maje Kano thanked the lawmaker for the gesture.

Babangida who was represented by the secretary of APC in the local government, acknowledged the contributions of Namdas towards the growth of the party urging him to maintain the tempo.

Some stalwarts of the APC including Mohammed Mayas and, Ibrahim Tahir also poured glowing tributes on Namdas urging the people to trust him with their mandate.

Highlights of the occasion was the donation of N150,000 to each of the district heads by senator Abubakar MoAllahyidi and former commissioner of justice in the state Ibrahim Tahir.
