The commander 3 Division of the Nigerian army, Brigadier General Bello Muhhamed has warned all officers and Men of the Nigerian Army to desist from any form of politics and avoid any politician that want to use them to achieve their personal interest

The GOC disclosed this at the Gibson Jalo Cantonment in Yola during this year’s inter Brigade corporal Below competition, urged them to always use sports as a unifying factor within and outside the Barracks

It is no doubt that the security situation in the North Eastern part of Nigeria, particularly in Adamawa State is gradually taking shape, hence the competition that will send signals to Boko Haram and other criminal outfits that the Nigerian Army is always ready to maintain and protect the integrity of the nation

He says the competition is pertinent within the troops as that will go a long way in boosting the moral of the officers and men of the Nigerian Army

Brigadier General Mohammed says there is no gain that the competition develops the resilience required to win battles, hence the activity that is repositioned to professionally defeat all adversaries in a joint environment

One of the participant private Ebenezer Joy thanked the Chief of Army Staff organizing such event, as that will help the troops to share ideas through sports that will be beneficial to the improvement of the security situation in the Country

She however appealed to the chief of Army Staff through the General Officer Commanding 3 Division not to relent in bringing the troops together, not only through sports but other activities within the officers and men of the Nigerian Army

At the end of the competition, 3 Division Garrison Command were the overall winning of this year’s inter Brigade corporal Below competition.
