Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola is to be reopened this Monday 26th April, 2021 after it was closed down following students unrest of 25th March,2021. That’s according to a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Yola by the institution’s media and public relations officer, Albert B Matilah.

The decision to reopen the Polytechnic was taken by the Polytechnic Management after the Committee investigating the unfortunate occurrence submitted its report on Monday 20th April, 2021 at the Polytechnic Conference hall, Yola.

Each Student is to sign an undertaking of good behaviour in addition to paying the sum of Three Thousand Four Hundred and Ten Naira (N3,410:00) as charges for the destruction they have caused on School properties.

However, Students in the department of Crime Prevention Management and Control who are in the eye of the Storm would have to pay twice the charges to be paid by each student (i. e N6,820:00) to serve as deterrence in the future.

Examinations will continue on Wednesday 28th – 30th April, 2021 and ONLY students who have paid their charges would be allowed to continue with their exams.
