The local government chairmen of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa state have to commend Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas for his efforts in ensuring that the party remain united.

The association comprises of all the 21 local government chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state.

Adamawa state chairman of the Association of Local Governments in Nigeria (ALGON), Abubakar Audu, made the commendation during a stakeholders meeting in Yola, Thursday. Audu said that the gesture by Hon. Namdas has not only strengthened the party but unified its members. “We had our congresses and many who were members of the executive council lost elections to return. There was a little tension within the party but God gave Namdas the wisdom to call those who lost elections at the Congress and encourage them to stay remain in the party and support the new exco. This is a move that we all commend. This has shown that he has the party at heart and therefore we will support his aspiration,” he said.

He called on all party supporters to emulate Namdas’ gesture and ensure that the party takes back the power it lost in 2019. He said out of the many people that showed interest in contesting for the governorship ticket, Namdas has been the only one that has been mobilizing party members and also putting up machinery to unify the party.

Mohammed Abdu Mayas who represented Namdas at the meeting appreciated the chairmen for the commendation while promising that Namdas will continue in his stride to ensure that the party waxed stronger.
