Nigeria independence was marked in grand style by the Czech Republic President, Milos Zeman

The Nigerian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, His Excellency Kevin Peter told our correspondent that the 1st October was well marked and attended to by his country home of stay.

Milos was represented by Ambassador Rudolf Jinderek, Adviser to the Czech Republic President on international affairs.

According to him in other to further tie the bilateral knots well between Nigeria and the Czech Republic the independence day was attended by high-profile personalities.

He said Representatives of the Czech Ministry of foreign affairs having the Director Diplomatic Protocol, Dr. Marketa and her team, the Director Sub Sahara Africa, Mrs. Nicol, and her team, Prof Peter konvanlinka, president, Technological Agency of Czech Republic, A team from the Czech Republic Ministry of defense honored Nigeria and mark its independence day.

Kevin revealed that other prominent Nigerians living in the Czech Republic, Business tycoons, companies/individuals in all areas of endeavors seeking partnership with Nigeria were also in attendance.

Peter while sending them greetings from President Muhammadu Buhari on this unique day in the history of the country he said:

“Interestingly 53 Ambassadors accredited to the Czech Republic were in attendance to celebrate our dear nation. I reminded everyone in attendance that Nigeria is a country endowed with a lot of human and natural resources that are potentially waiting for any interested party to visit the country for good purposes.

” The country under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari is doing well in the area of peaceful coexistence and creating an enabling environment for international companies, partners, and individuals to invest.”

Representative of President, Rudolf in his remarks emphasized that Nigeria is one of the strong countries in Africa, and her relationship with the Czech Republic is never taken lightly
