Hon. Namdas, a governorship hopeful of the APC, who also voted at the election congratulates members of the APC, the chairman, Ibrahim Bilal, and other elected officials for their victories.
The lawmaker representing Ganye, Jada, Toungo, and Mayo-Belwa federal constituency at the House of Representatives believes that the party will wax stronger as it prepares for the 2023 general elections.
“I’m happy that the exercise ended peacefully without any rancor. It was a credible exercise that allowed all party stakeholders to vote for a candidate of their choice and that is why it took that long for the elections to end,” Namdas said.
The governorship aspirant assured that the party will reclaim power in Adamawa state and consolidate on its mandate at the national level in the 2023 general elections.
“The just-concluded congresses have shown how united our party is and how stronger we have become over time. This unity is what will propel us to reclaim our mandate in Adamawa state come 2023. We shall take over the government and ensure that we give to the people of Adamawa state what they rightfully deserve, which is equity, fairness, and dividend of democracy,” the lawmaker added.
He called on those for whom the elections did not work in their favor to join forces with the elected executive and work for the success of the party.
“I’m calling on all party supporters and stakeholders, especially those who contested for various positions at the just concluded congresses to keep away their differences and work for the success of the party. I also urge the newly elected exco to strategize on ways of mending fences and operating an open door and inclusive leadership so that every single member of the party will benefit,” Namdas added.
While assuring Bilal and the exco members of his loyalty and support, Namdas tasked them to strengthen the party and work towards ensuring no aggrieved member leaves the party.
