The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has married the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Farouq.

Daily Trust tweeted on Thursday morning that the wedding Fatiha took place on Friday, September 18, 2020, at the Maitama Juma’a Mosque in Abuja.

The wedding was kept low key as according to family sources that was what the couple wanted.

The wedding has put to rest speculations about Sadiya’s love affair with President Muhammadu Buhari and their rumored marriage late last year.

Well meaning Nigerians have been congratulating the couple, including a former senator Shehu Sani.
“When my sister said she’d be dropping food for IDPs from the air no one decided the message. Congratulations.” Sani said in a tweet.
