Governors of the northeastern states of Nigeria are arriving Yola for a crucial meeting at the Government House, Thursday.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri will be playing host to his counterpart in a meeting believed to focus on the security situation of the northeastern states, poverty, unemployment among other things.

The governor through his Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Muhammed B. Tukur said ” the governor welcomes his counterparts of Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Yobe and Traba states to the land of beauty for the third meeting of the North East Governor’s Forum.”

“Without any iota of doubt, as people of the ravaged North East region, we are optimistic that the Governors will come up with communiqué that will not only tackle some incessant challenges but bring out a comprehensive blueprint for speedy development of the region,” the governor said.
